AVEZZANO – For the eleventh time the Stracittadina di Avezzano took place in Avezzano and no one expected such a success due to the high number of participants and the involvement of the entire city fabric, not only on the technical-sporting front.
The Avezzanese running team, in addition to enjoying the success of how things went on an organizational level, had the opportunity to become protagonists on friendly roads with the holding of the Trofeo Nazionale Libertas which brought to the fore two runners from Avezzano who achieved the best result : Daniele Vulpiani and Virginia Petrei.
The holding of the Libertas National Trophy had the strong support of the Libertas regional president of Abruzzo Massimiliano Milozzi.
The team also celebrated on a team level, achieving second place overall with the highest number of finishers.
President Antonella Di Carlo is over the moon: “I want to congratulate all our athletes and all our staff for the excellent work done in the days of preparation for the Stracittadina and for what they were able to achieve on the race field in terms of results both at an individual and team level”.
