Traffic restrictions h. 24 on weekdays and holidays, creation of two distinct areas in which only authorized persons can park, controls on both access and exit of vehicles, dematerialized and no longer paper passes. These are just some of the main innovations destined to revolutionize the Limited Traffic Zone and with it the historic center of Bisceglie, starting from 1st July.

From 1 June residents, domiciled subjects, owners of commercial activities and public establishments will be able to request the new passes, dematerialized, via a dedicated online portal, accessible from the website of the Municipality of Bisceglie, in the “Local Police” section, by logging in with SPID or electronic identity card, while from 1 July all passes previously issued on paper will no longer be valid.

The establishment of two dedicated parking areas is also planned, one in via La Marina for users of zone A and the other for zone B in Corso Umberto. Inside the ancient village, authorized vehicles must respect the 20 km/h limit in the restricted traffic zone. All measures aimed, as Belsito points out, at having a more livable, welcoming and usable historic centre.

From 3 to 28 June, meanwhile, any further clarifications can be requested at the information desk in via Tupputi, a street whose particular value and historical charm will create a special Urban Pedestrian Area.
