“I am Serena Bambi and I have decided to take the opportunity offered to me by the upcoming local elections to make my passion and skills for the government of the Municipality available to the community in which I was born and have always lived. I do so by running as Mayor of a civic list, supported by the Democratic Party, which is joined by people who, like me, intend to govern their territory by applying the values of solidarity, representation, dialogue and sharing of choices. We have chosen the name “In Comune” for our list: because we are running to govern our territory, we therefore want to go “in Comune”. Thus in a note from the civic list In common of Portico San Benedetto.

“We want to abandon the policy of self-isolation and self-sufficiency carried out by previous administrations: ours is a municipality with its own autonomy, naturally, but it is essential to collaborate with bodies and institutions present in the territory, to provide citizens with the services they need , with quality levels equal to those provided in larger cities. We therefore believe that the policy in favor of our Municipality does not end within the territory, but must be a policy that fits into a broader horizon, within the institutions of which we are part: Union, Province, Region, in which we must bring our voice and actively participate in the indication of common objectives that take into account the needs of mountain and border territories like ours. We intend to propose a participatory way of governing public affairs, the centre-left list continueswhere citizens will be consulted on the fundamental issues for their lives: projects to be carried out and services to be offered. Above all, citizens must be informed: our intention is to establish a Help Desk with the aim of simplifying citizens’ lives and collecting reports, suggestions and complaints. It will take action to help, guide, inform and find possible solutions. It will be a policy that will have the environment and sustainability at heart.”

“First of all, we will monitor the post-flood reconstruction and carefully manage the projects to restore municipal and interval roads. We will have to intensify relations with the Park Authority, promote activities to support our planet: we will support the establishment of Energy Communities, we will request additional public transport service runs to allow local tourism, in line with the tourist vocation of our places , we will encourage separate waste collection to ensure that our Municipality reaches higher percentages in the separate disposal of waste, currently below the provincial average. As regards services to citizens, we will have as a priority the maintenance of the retirement home, completing its acquisition to the municipal heritage and the control of the correct execution and start-up of the Community House in San Benedetto in Alpe, an urban regeneration project, financed by the Region . We will have at heart the maintenance of the educational institutions present in the area, which we consider an important cultural center, evaluating their integration with the school services of the neighboring municipalities” concludes the note from the civic list that supports Serena Bambi.
