Ovopinto 2024, the Baschi Primary School flies “Beyond borders” and wins three prizes

The Ovopinto 2024 international competition, organized by the Ovopinto Cultural Association of Civitella del Lago, has officially ended. This year’s theme, “Beyond borders”, saw the participation of numerous artists and schools from all over Italy. The Baschi Primary School boasts many years of participation in this competition, often winning various editions and this year too it wanted to get involved by winning three prizes.

The purpose of participating in these artistic competitions, as well as adhering to the laudable and prestigious initiatives of our territory, is to develop and strengthen students’ ability to express themselves and communicate their emotions in a creative and personal way. The works were examined by a commission of experts who proclaimed the children of classes II, IV and V of the Baschi Primary School as winners of three prizes with the works entitled: “Dritto al Sodo” and “Gli ovi silenti”.

Class II won the Fantasy Prize, entitled “Ovi indiscreti”, awarded to the most imaginative work among all those in the competition, thanks to the contribution of the German entrepreneur and artist Uwe Heller, a long-time friend and supporter of the competition, publicly thanked for their collaboration.

Wednesday 1st May the artists’ awards ceremony was held in the Brizzi Room of the Ovopinto Museum in the presence of the president of the Province, Laura Pernazza, the vice-president of the Ovopinto Association Barbara Bilancioni, the mayor of Baschi, Damiano Bernardini, and the deputy mayor Fabio Carloni. The prizes awarded to the school were collected by Lorenzo Gorini, a pupil of class II, chosen for his artistic talents to represent the Baschi School.
