Zls, the money is also arriving

Good news for the provinces of Rovigo and Venice, due to a determination that has been expected for some time, have received the money for the establishment of the Simplified Logistics Zone.

This was announced by the undersecretary of the Ministry for Business and Made in Italy, Massimo Bitonci from Padua. “After the establishment, the publication on the site, the green light from the Council of State and timely discussions with Minister Raffaele Fitto – he says – in order to identify the resources necessary for the Venice Rovigo Simplified Logistics Zone, the long-awaited resources for investments have been finalized in the Cohesion Decree“. This was declared by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, Massimo Bitonci, who followed the various phases of the process.

“This is the extension of facilitative measures, tax credits, for investments already planned for Zes Unica extended to Simplified Logistics Zones (Zls) of the Center and North, with a total spending commitment of 80 million euros for 2024 – he continues – The operational effectiveness of the Zls Port of Venice – Rodigino, long awaited by citizens and businesses of the Veneto, will thus be guaranteed”.

“The decree in agreement with the Mef to define the methods of access to the benefit as well as the criteria and methods of application and use of the tax credit and related controls, also for the purpose of ensuring compliance with the spending limit. An opportunity to allow the return to Veneto of companies that have relocated and to attract new ones”, he concludes.

Deputy Alberto Stefani, secretary of the Liga Veneta and president of the commission on federalism, was also satisfied: “The inclusion in article 13 of the Cohesion Decree in the Official Journal of financing and tax credits for 80 million, intended for Zls Veneta is the result of excellent teamwork between the Region, Parliamentarians and the Government. Finally concreteness and implementation has been achieved, also for the Zls Venezia Rovigo, of a development project for a territory that will be able to benefit from incentives that will be available to existing businesses and those that wish to establish themselves in the future. The work of these years that becomes reality.”

Andrea Martella, regional secretary and senator of the Democratic Party also rejoices: “The inclusion in the Cohesion Decree of 80 million resources in tax credits for the ZLS of Venice and Rovigo, represents a positive step, although long overdue. Since the birth of the ZLS, our call to act to give legs to this instrument, designed for the productive relaunch of the area, has been pressing. Now, through the discussion of the decree in the Senate, we will ask for a further step forward for the ZLS, that is, an adequate increase in appropriations and their constant disbursement over time, not just limited to 2024″.
