We must act now. The students of the IPS “Versari Macrelli” Institute of Cesena arrive in the town hall with a heartfelt reflection on the state of health of the Earth. They do this through a titled exhibition itinerary “Our planet, our home” composed of posters created by the students of the graphic branch of the Cesena Institute and distributed in the hall of honor of Palazzo Albornoz. The project, sponsored by the Municipality and carried out also thanks to the collaboration of the “Ilaria Alpi” State Linguistic High School, was born as an awareness campaign on the topic of climate change.

“The Earth that we leave to future generations – comment the students – is a risky world. Already today, one billion girls and boys are at greater risk from the climate crisis than their grandparents. Those born in 2020 will be exposed on average 7 times more to heat waves, 2.6 times more to drought, 2.8 times more to river floods. Our thoughts turn to humanity at war, while our planet, our common home, is increasingly in danger. And the ones who will pay the consequences will once again be the children, the young people of the new generations. We are leaving them a planet where they will be forced to face many more natural disasters and consequently diseases. And we cannot continue to stand by and watch all this. The younger generations forcefully remind us of this, attentive and aware not only of the need to implement courageous policies to reverse climate change, but also of the importance that the individual behaviors that each of us implements on a daily basis can make a difference . We must act now.”

The exhibition
