Thirty-three dance springs in a journey through Marina Serpico’s repertoire in the show on May 25th at the Parravano Theater in Caserta. A show that, this time too, will lead the audience by the hand into the meanders of dance in the round, just like in the ropes of an inspired Melina Serpico, hostess and artistic director of her namesake Studio Danza in Caserta since 1990. A journey that turns thirty-three this year, many of which were spent face to face with well-known exponents in the world of dance, just think of Zarko Prebil, Sonia Fenisia Villani, Little Phil, Sara Tamasco, Laccio, Kate Jablonski, Laura Fanetti , Ludmill Cakalli, Tato Russo, Rosario Cardettino and Massimo Leanti above all. In particular, we underline the importance of the Vaganova technique and contemporary technique course with Tony Ferrante, as well as the “Erice Danza” refresher course in classical, modern and contemporary technique. Just as one cannot ignore the training sought and sought after by Melina Serpico, a woman and artist who has always chosen to raise the bar of quality at all costs to achieve the best possible results without ever distorting her dance troupe. Objectives and purposes pursued over time, now thirty-three years, each time sparing effort and commitment for the young talents of her territory. Born in New York, the artistic director of her Studio Danza in Caserta has always believed in the territory and in the potential to be supported to establish herself in the world of professionalism. And for these reasons, the qualifications for teaching classical technique, in the Vaganova methodology, and contemporary technique in the Graham methodology, obtained at the National Dance Academy in Rome, are even more appreciated. As well as the contemporary technique strengthening course, urban dance and contamination at Susanna Beltrami’s DanceHause. A technical, didactic and artistic pedigree that Melina Serpico has been able and will still be able to share with dancing generations, including this occasion on Saturday 25 May with two acts full of dance and dancing. Starting with a suite taken from the ballet by Marius Petipa and Ludwig Minkus “Don Chisciotte”, revived by Melina Serpico herself in collaboration with Giuseppe Protano and Angela Ciaramella. Following this we will witness the two modern choreographies “Volià” and “Mater” by Massimo Leanti and the contemporary repertoire of Armida Pieretti “Visioni”. Angela Ciaramella will still make her contribution with “Dancing crew” while Sara Gallo will propose “What’s next?”. A leading staff whose added value is Massimo Leanti, with experience with Loredana Furno’s Teatro di Torino, Luciano Cannito’s Balletto di Roma, Kataklò, DanceHause and Modulo Factory above all. Like Giuseppe Protano who, as artistic director of the Milanese ensemble Nuovo Balletto Italiano, has already staged numerous classical repertoire ballets such as “The Merry Widow”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Nutcracker”, “Manon” and “Giselle” and in recent weeks a very useful point of reference for Melina Serpico’s Studio Danza for the revival of “Don Chisciotte” from 1869. Worth noting is the specific contribution of great weight by Susanna Beltrami for Sara Gallo and Armida Pieretti, who has explored furthermore with Roberto Zappalà, as well as for Angela Ciaramella, the experiences in courses and seminars at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome and the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan had an impact. All at the service of Melina Serpico’s bold young men!
