The year of Crotone, a team coached by Lamberto Zauli and who finished their regular season at the Partenio-Lombardi stadium, ended as badly as it could have. With the narrow defeat against Avellino last April 27, with Patierno scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot, the rossoblù team did not improve its position in the standings and played the first round of the playoffs away from home.
