No lighting in Tivoli, the former Province of Syracuse assures: “restoration of service in the coming months”

The association “A Viso Aperto” a few days ago, thanks to the numerous reports received in recent months, had become interested in the issue relating to the lighting of Tivoli, which had been absent for almost a decade. “Last week we expressed our disappointment regarding the problem of the lack of lighting in Tivoli. We were pleasantly contacted by the Province, which set up a meeting for us with the Extraordinary Commissioner to clarify any doubts” declares President Nicolò Saetta

A meeting during which the organization provided guarantees that the “Tivoli question” is central to the agenda of the work. “Industry workers are working to speed up the process – continues Saetta – in order to be able to approve the executive project by next month or by July at the latest. The Province is working to replace traditional copper cables with aluminum ones, so as to avoid further tampering or theft in the future. At the end of the meeting, after an overview of the work to find the funds, partly already available and at our request to be allocated to the restoration of the service, we were guaranteed that this will happen within the months of September/October 2024.

The President and the members of the association, Arianna Lo Pizzo and Peppe Rinaldo, were welcomed by the Commissioner and the sector officials. “The meeting was also an opportunity to talk about further problems affecting our territory, first of all the maintenance of roads and the care of greenery. Member Peppe Rinaldo focused attention on the issue of Traversa Sinerchia along the road to Tremilia, sp46, so that there can be weeding work and restoration of horizontal signs
