A one-of-a-kind sporting event dedicated to friendship and fun is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday 9 May, at the Sport Club Castiglion Fiorentino in Cozzano. We are talking about “Friendly Match”, an unprecedented friendly five-a-side match.
The match will see two truly special teams compete: on one side the Mayors’ Representatives, which makes its official debut on the green rectangle and which sees Mr. Alessandro Calori in the role, and on the other the Clericus Arretium, the 5-a-side football representative of the CSI of Arezzo in collaboration with the Diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro, made up of local priests and coached by Mister Mario Palazzi.
Kick-off is scheduled for 4.00 pm, and the first ball of the match will be symbolically played by the number 1 of the Clericus Arretium, the Bishop of the Diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro Monsignor Andrea Migliavacca.
The match will be an opportunity to experience a special moment of union and solidarity between two realities of our territory. The Clericus Arretium enthusiastically accepted the “challenge” launched by the Mayors’ Representative, demonstrating its attention to sport as a social value.
“The Clericus Arretium takes the field against the representative of the mayors, who we thank for the challenge they have thrown us and which we have accepted with great pleasure – explains the President of the CSI of Arezzo Lorenzo Bernardini. Let’s remember that Clericus was born last March and has already played ten games. The search for the first victory remains, but the primary objective is to bear witness to the values of faith through sport.”
Entrance is free and everyone is invited to participate in this special event which promises many surprises and healthy fun.
