Crotone – The SIAP (Italian Union of Police Members) of Crotone sent a report, dated 14 April 2024, to the Management of the Police Headquarters and for information to the Prefecture of Crotone highlighting «the need for urgent restoration of the elevator present in the building that houses the police offices”. According to what we read in a press release from the union, «the breakdown of the elevator system has been going on for a long time and is creating a serious disservice not only to users, who for obvious reasons have to go to the police station for example to complete the paperwork, on the first floor, which allow you to have a useful document for expatriation; but also to the numerous colleagues who work on the upper floors and who use the accommodation located on the fourth floor as well as to the employees on duty in the Civil Administration who have significantly reduced walking ability.
The Police Headquarters immediately let it be known that, as soon as the fault was discovered, a report was made to the local Prefecture to authorize the expenditure necessary to repair the fault in the lift, highlighting its urgency”. Until yesterday the elevator was still stopped.

This trade union organization hopes that the problem will be resolved quickly and that the construction of the new headquarters of the Police Headquarters and the Traffic Police Section will proceed quickly with the appropriate funds already allocated of €33,159,141.37 as specified by the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility – Interregional Supervision for Trade Unions.
