Now in its second edition, Catering Day is an initiative created by FIPE Confcommercio (Italian Federation of Public Businesses) to enhance and strengthen the values and role of Italian catering and gastronomy. A national event which received the Medal of the President of the Republic from the Head of State as a representative award for the high value of the initiative, to which FIPE Molise adheres which celebrates a fundamental theme for the world of catering: hospitality.
“This year too – declares Carlo Durante, president of FIPE Confcommercio Molise – there will be many Molise activities involved in the event, which will be able to express in their different realities, made up of landscapes, historical, architectural and environmental heritage, the testimony of their traditions, helping to support and promote the economies and diversity of the Molise area. Our invitation is valid for everyone.”
It will be a celebration characterized by a sense of community aimed at consolidating the profound values of Catering Day: the art of being together and the culture of hospitality.
Trattorias, taverns, pizzerias, taverns will be the protagonists of this event. Real cultural agencies in the area where people can be re-educated to live together. It is no coincidence that the term “restoration” derives from the Latin “restaurare”: Restoration Day represents first of all a fundamental social opportunity to re-establish the sense of community in the country.
