Today 8 May at 12.00 registrations for the 29th Novara Slalom close, so there is still some time left to join the race which is scheduled for Sunday 12th with the double validity of the Italian and Sicilian Championships, for the promoted regional series from the ACI Sport Sicilia Delegation the coefficient is 1.5.
Meanwhile, there is great excitement in the mountain centre, while Top Competition, with the effective collaboration of the Municipal Administration, is working to encourage the holding of an Italian Championship event suitable for the top Italian ACI Sport series. As always, the associations of race commissioners in the province of Messina, Peloro 93 and Zancle, who have a role in the safety and correct regularity of the event, are also preparing with renewed determination.
Wide media coverage is expected for the event, with live streaming of the race, the collection of images by Aci Sport for the Magazine and other TV channels that will distribute the event as well as the many online newspapers that closely follow the world of racing.
Maria Grazia Bisazzapresident of Top Competition, in underlining the interest in the race by the media, declared: –“We are very happy that our competition has received important feedback from various perspectives. We really appreciate the interest on the part of the pilots who come from beyond the Strait, of the Sicilian ones who come from every province and of the locals, the great passion of the always large public present, but it is important that the race reaches as many people as possible, through the images television and photos so as to encourage the arrival of a large number of people in these splendid areas. The Peloritans are a paradise and deserve this promotion, especially Novara with its mayor Gino Bertolami, who in addition to being very collaborative has over time become a real fan of this race. The interest of the press in the event is fundamental” -.
After approval by the federation, the list of participants will be made known: there is great anticipation to know the names of all the protagonists, but barring any surprises for the trio on the podium in Loceri, the first round of the Tricolore Slalom, made up of the two from Campania Salvatore Venanzio and Luigi Vinaccia, as well as Salvatore Arresta from Trapani, will be joined by many other ready Sicilian drivers capable of aiming for the top for the Messina challenge.
The usual sporting and technical checks will take place at the Novara Town Hall, starting from 2.30pm on Saturday 11 May. In addition, following the new regulations, we will proceed with a mandatory briefing which will be conducted by the race directors, Messrs. Francesco Sanclemente and Antonio Cappelli, inside the spacious parish halls located in Piazza San Giorgio, just 50 meters from the venue checks. For the convenience of participants, the briefing will be organized into two distinct sessions: the first at 6.00 pm and the second at 7.30 pm, to accommodate both those arriving for the start of the checks and those arriving towards the end.
