The first edition of “Gnomes in celebration” will be held on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May in Montesilvano, inside the green area of the Libertà park.
The event was organized by The Guardians of the Goose and the municipal administration of Montesilvano in collaboration with the Urban Refuge.
Gnomes in celebration is a special and unrepeatable event, a magical weekend to experience together with gnomes, elves, fairies and elves.
Born as an event related to the more well-known International Gnome Festival (held every year in Roccaraso in the heart of the Majella national park), Gnomes in celebration offers the perfect organizational and artistic formula that has brought the creatures of the little people to the national spotlight.
“Gnomes in Festa” is also part of a series of interregional relationships that lead the inhabitants of the small population to also be present in Tuscany, Puglia, Campania, Marche with successful events and large influx of public.
On Saturday 11th May from 3pm and Sunday 12th from 11am in the city park there will be events and shows designed and built according to the spaces usable by the actors and the public.
A fun and surprising journey full of shows, dances, poetry, creative play moments and workshop activities to let yourself be completely overwhelmed by the magic of this enchanted world.
“We are happy to host an event that will attract many tourists and citizens. – states the mayor Ottavio De Martinis – This event, which I strongly wanted within the Parco della Libertà, will offer playful moments and many emotions to adults and children. Gnomi in Festa will open the events of the summer program of Montesilvanesi events and we are certain of the success of this event which we welcome with joy in the city for the first time”

- 3.30 pm – Welcoming of the little people (entertainment with dances, songs and elven music, itinerant during the afternoon hours) by the cultural association The Guardians of the Goose.
- From 3pm to 8pm – Opening of the creative workshops: Build your own gnome hat – workshop organized by the cultural association The Guardians of the Goose; Agora of small artists, creative workshops The Colors of Enchantment, creative painting workshop on paper and fabric, inspired by the Gnome’s Erbolario for 3 to 6 years, curated by Abruzzo Tucur
