His was one of the speeches that livened up the meeting on Monday evening first evening of the new Girogustando series, set up to draw a parallel between cuisine and great cycling. It was him who moved for the preview between Viareggio and Rapolano yesterday chef Nicola Gronchi and Romano’s brigade, a prestigious restaurant in Versilia, which for the occasion performed at the San Giovanni spa. Together with resident chef Claudio Porro they created an unprecedented four-handed menu, served to the public in the suggestive room overlooking the Crete and the thermal pools.
Among the creations offered: “Risotto with artichokes and chamomile with pigeon and its stock”, and “Roasted turbot, courgettes, creamy pine nuts and black garlic”. Also present at the evening were the President of the Arezzo Siena Chamber of Commerce, Massimo Guasconi, and that of Confesercenti Siena, Leonardo Nannizzi.
