Pirelli aggressive in the next three races: compounds named for Imola, Monaco and Canada

Pirelli has made official the tire compounds for the next three F1 races which will take place in Imola, Monte Carlo and Montreal.

Pirelli he opted for softer compounds in the upcoming three rounds of the 2024 F1 calendar which will take place in Imola, Montecarlo And Montreal for the Canadian GP. The protagonist compounds will therefore be C5 (red band), C4 (yellow band) and C3 (white band).

It can be said that the Milanese company has made the same choices made in 2023. In truth, as regards Imola it will be about debut for the softer compound, i.e. the C5, starting from the introduction of 18-inch tyres. The debut should have taken place in 2023, when however the Emilia Romagna GP weekend was canceled due to the sad events that hit the region.

In 2022, the only race held on the circuit dedicated to Enzo and Dino Ferrari with 18″ tyres, Pirelli had opted for C2, C3 and C4. The following year he then selected one step softer compounds in order to broaden the range of strategies.

The three weekend format will be the classic one. Each pilot will therefore have a total of 13 Sep of tires for the entire weekend, of which 8 Soft (red band), 3 Medium (yellow band) e 2 Hard (white band). By regulation, a set of Softs is reserved for Q3 for the drivers who access it, while the others can use it in the race. Furthermore, one train of Medium and one of Hard must be brought into the race.
