Serie D football. Carpi, Serpini and Motta confirmed. The 15th debut in the Scudetto Poule

Coach and sporting director are the first two issues that Claudio Lazzaretti wants to address to build the new Carpi from Serie C. In the red and white home it is still time for celebrations and the team must face the Poule championship, but the positions of Cristian Serpini and Riccardo Motta represent a priority. The fairly clear desire on both sides is to continue the relationship, which makes the negotiation downhill. Serpini, as revealed yesterday in Carlino, has a parole agreement with the president for another two years, which was not put in black and white last summer due to the excellent relationship between the parties. The coach from Castelfranco has a UEFA A license and therefore can also coach in Serie C without exceptions. Similar speech for Motta, who after the excellent work this year is already ready to build the new Carpi. The sporting director from Bologna does not have a professional qualification, but with the jump to Carpi’s C team he will automatically be enrolled in the FIGC course in Coverciano at the beginning of next season and will therefore be able to practice without problems. The crux of the contract remains, given that Motta is an important manager of an international company and with Lazzaretti the contours of a full-time commitment to Carpi will have to be defined. The feeling is that it is a marked road, without major surprises, given that the Motta-Serpini tandem was the axis of Carpi’s undertaking.

Scudetto poule. Carpi will meet again today after two well-deserved days of rest. The red and whites will in fact face the Poule scudetto, in the group with Pianese and Campobasso. Yesterday’s draw defined that the debut of Calanca and his associates will be on Wednesday 15th on the second day, given that the first on Sunday 12th is Pianese-Campobasso, a match on whose outcome the order of the next two days will also depend. If Pianese beats Campobasso then on the 15th there is Campobasso-Carpi and on the 19th Carpi-Pianese, if the match ends in a draw or if Campobasso wins instead on the 15th there is Carpi-Pianese and on the 19th Campobasso-Carpi. In the other two triangulars there are Caldiero-Clodiense (alcione Milano rep.) and Cavese-Altamura (Trapani rep.). The three group winners and the best runner-up will advance to the Scudetto semi-finals scheduled for 26 May and 2 June in home and away matches, with the final on 9 June on a neutral pitch. Meanwhile, the semi-finals of the playoffs in group D Ravenna-Lentigione and Corticella-San Marino will be played on Sunday 12th. At the moment Forlì have not yet decided whether to appeal to CONI for the Cecotti case, but it goes without saying that if Ravenna plays their match on Sunday any appeal will be useless.
