Three new appointments for the 23rd week of teaching

For the 23rd week of teaching and heritage education, the State Archives of Piacenza in collaboration with the Liceo Melchiorre Gioia organized three events with the presentations of the educational workshops conducted in the 2023/2024 school year.

Wednesday 8 May at 5pm at the State Archives, in Palazzo Farnese, in Piazza Cittadella 29, the students of class III classical C of the Melchiorre Gioia high school, coordinated by the teacher Chiara Giublesi, present the research “Images of Piacenza between yesterday and today : from the economic boom to the present day”, focused on the urban changes of the city’s symbolic places.

Thursday 9 May at 5pm at the State Archives, the 2BC-New Media class, coordinated by the teacher Alessandro de Poli, presents the first results of the laboratory “The profession of the philologist”: a careful investigation of the medieval Latin texts present on the covers in parchment from the Farnesian Rural Estimates of the 16th century.

BOOM
On Friday 10 May at 5pm, again at the State Archives, small daily stories of rebirth in post-war Piacenza will be presented.
The students, coordinated by the teacher Manuela Veneziani, will read the stories set in post-war Piacenza, the outcome of the creative writing workshop as part of the exhibition “BOOM. PIACENZA 1950-1960”.
