Journey through time between engines and history: La Spezia celebrates vintage motoring

Spice. A dive into the past to relive the history of motoring and the beauty of the historic center of La Spezia. This is what the event promises “Motoring in the historical culture of La Spezia”organized by the Automobile Club of La Spezia with the patronage of the Municipality.

An itinerary between eras and models. On Saturday 11 May, from 2.00pm to 7.00pm, an exhibition of vintage cars and motorbikes will be the setting for the squares of Bastione, Europa and Corso Cavour. A true open-air museum where you can admire two- and four-wheeled jewels that have marked the past decades.

From the 50s to the 90s: a fascinating journey. In Europe Square the cars and motorcycles of the 70s and 80s will be the protagonists, accompanied by historic buses and two paintings by the Sarzanese painter Maura Jasoni which immortalise the La Spezia of the past. A step back in time to rediscover the evolution of automotive design and the atmosphere of those years.

The 50s and their timeless elegance. Moving in Bastion Square, you will be able to admire the fascinating lines of the cars and motorbikes of the 1950s, an expression of an era of great innovation and style. An opportunity to retrace the history of customs and automotive design.

Nostalgia for the 80s and passion for sports cars. Finally, in Corso Cavour, space for cars built between 1980 and 1990, with a selection of models that marked the era of sports cars and large displacements. A dive into memories for motoring enthusiasts and a curious journey for the younger ones.

An event that combines culture, passion and territory. The event, in addition to celebrating the history of motoring, aims to be an opportunity to enhance the artistic and cultural heritage of La Spezia. A perfect combination of tradition and innovation, between passion for engines and the beauty of the area.
