CYCLING – Great anticipation in the city for the arrival of the pink race. Today the fifth stage of 178 km will take the runners from Genoa to Lucca with the arrival (around 5pm) on Viale Carducci. Another group sprint is looming with Jonathan Milan (in the photo) among the favorites after yesterday’s victory in Andora. The Giro d’Italia had not stopped in Lucca since 1985 when Moser won the final time trial over Hinault.
Curiosity also for the pink jersey Tadej Pogacar: the young Slovenian champion capable of monopolizing the race so far and a great favorite for the final success. Here is a list of the favorites with their stars for the arrival of Lucca:
