CROTONE – 27 bags of blood were collected during a special donation organized by Avis in the “F. Barracks. Pirillo” of the Crotone Financial Police. The initiative, carried out as part of the blood donation awareness campaign, was held in the headquarters of the Provincial Command and the naval operational section of the Guardia di Finanza where two Avis blood banks of Crotone were hosted.
The event, strongly encouraged by the Provincial Commander in the wake of the memorandum of understanding stipulated by the Calabria Regional Command with the regional Avis, recorded a large participation by the Fiamme Gialle in service, allowing the collection of 27 bags of blood.
“A gesture, that of giving – is explained in a note from the Fiamme Gialle di Crotone – which is a moral commitment even before a civic duty, strongly felt by the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza, who continue to stand out for their great altruism and profound sensitivity, in giving a smile to those who suffer, in giving relief to those who tie their survival to the availability of blood, thus alleviating their suffering and that of their families. An act of generosity and solidarity.”
Avis, in expressing satisfaction and deep gratitude, thanked the Corps staff for the sensitivity shown on all blood collection occasions.
