The municipal council of Agrigento, chaired by mayor Franco Miccichè, has approved the demolition and reconstruction project of the “Malaguzzi” nursery school in Villaggio Peruzzo. The project, after having been awarded the commission, was drawn up by the architect Angelo Sortino, and designs only one level, of 390 square metres, to accommodate 45 children. Total cost: 897,000 euros. The councilor for Public Works, Gerlando Principato, explains: “It is a kindergarten that will contribute not only to reviving the Villaggio Peruzzo district, but to improving the decorum of the appurtenances. Another important project is therefore being carried out as part of the interventions on school buildings, planned by the Miccichè administration. Thanks to the precious work of the offices in charge, the geognostic investigations, requested by the designer in charge for the drafting of the second project phase, the executive project, have also recently been entrusted”.
