Those of Solarolo and Faenza in the Promotion playoffs are successful semi-finals. Both teams from Ravenna won their respective matches, gaining access to the final of their group. And they both accomplished a great feat. Despite starting with the home advantage (passing the round in case of a draw after extra time), Solarolo still defeated Portuense Etrusca 2-1. After the home team’s lead scored by midfielder Giacomo Errani at the start of the match in the 15th minute of the first half, and after the guests equalized in the 45th minute thanks to Grazia’s goal, Mr. Assirelli’s team managed to make their own disputed thanks to center forward Rimini, who scored the match goal in the 38th minute of the second half, when the prospect of extra time was looming on the horizon. For Rimini it was the 14th goal of the season.

What broke the balance was, in the 27th minute of the first half, Gjordumi’s goal (man of the match), at the end of a complex action which, following Bertoni’s verticalisation, led the striker Manfredo to the winning conclusion at the edge of pole. In the final, Faenza also came close to doubling their lead with a strong and tense free kick from Tuzio, who forced Lombardi into a difficult deflection into the corner.
