Filming for the film began on Monday 6 May in Sofia, Bulgaria Returning to the East sequel to the award-winning East last minute dictatorship. The film produced by Stradedellest Productions srl of Cesena by Maurizio Paganelli and Andrea Riceputi, in association with Victoria Cinema of Modena and Davide Pedrazzini, sees the return to the set of the three characters from Cesena Pago, Bibi and Rice played by the same actors Matteo Gatta Jacopo Costantini and Lodo Guenzi of the Welfare State.
The story is set in 1991 and always involves the city of Cesena, from where the three boys will leave for the trip to Bulgaria. Filming in Cesena will take place in June and will involve not only the city centre, but also the stadium and the racecourse. There will be other places Saracen Market and San Marino. The sequel project “Tornando ad Est” will in fact be partly filmed in Romagna, where the director, Antonio Pisuhas already visited some symbolic places of the area.
In the PNNR tender on the ecological transition concerning the audiovisual sector, that of the Cesena production company came second, just one point from first. The project was liked because it was innovative and ecologically respectful. I will give some examples to make it clear what it is about: to carry out the filming in at night we will purchase and use the latest generation electrical units, the cars used on the set will be electric rather than petrol or diesel, the catering service will be carried out only with compostable materials or plastic bottles will be used as little as possible, while also the The script to be given to the actors will not be on paper but will be read on the iPad. We will not print paper to save money and respect the environment.”
