When he noticed the presence of the police, he tried to make the drugs disappear, dangerously swallowing three onions of cocaine. A desperate attempt which did not prevent him from being arrested on suspicion of detention for the purpose of drug dealing.
It was reported to Matteo L., 26 years old from Benevento, who was stopped by the flying squad led by deputy commissioner Flavio Tranquillo. According to a first reconstruction, the officers went into action in the area of Via Intorcia, where they stopped the young man, who was in a car, after seeing him take something, and seized the containers with the ‘stuff’ from him. which he had tried to free himself from.
However, they were not the only wrappers seized: another 23 spring onions, again of cocaine (24 grams in total), kept in candy boxes, cigarette packets and socks were in fact found under a bench. A sort of warehouse from which the 26-year-old made refueling from time to time.
Taken to the police station, the suspect, defended by the lawyer Gerardo Giorgione, was then transferred to prison on the orders of the prosecutor Chiara Maria Marcaccio. This is the second arrest for the 26-year-old in the space of a month and a half, after the one made by the financial police.
