The construction site of decay, patience ended in Tassina

The abandoned construction site in Rovigo in the Tassina district between via Norma Cossetto and via Marta Radici, it has been transformed into a desolate place of putrid water which, in addition to being an unseemly sight, could become a vehicle for even dangerous diseases.

This was reported by a citizen of the neighbourhood, who describes the situation as “definitely worrying since the accumulation of stagnant water, in addition to representing a problem of urban decorum, it also becomes a danger factor for public health. Accumulations of this type can, among other things, represent the ideal place for the proliferation of mosquito larvae carrying the dangerous West Nile virus.”

The Environment sector, led by engineer Marzia Rizzi, arranged an inspection of the construction siteto verify that the conditions exist to issue an order and order the private individual to clean the area. “It is therefore essential to intervene and clean up the area urgently – says the resident – Since the closure of the construction site, for some years, the entire area has been abandoned to itself, without any control over the ‘state of health’ of the place. For several years, a quantity of water has accumulated on this construction site that makes the buildings equivalent to a series of ponds; in fact you can hear many frogs croaking even during the day. Now with the summer season we expect insects carrying even serious diseases, mice, ticks and the generation of miasmas due to stagnant water. We residents are exasperated.”
