In the Digerbato district, an event involving organizations, associations, children and families, to provide new services to the community
“The playground I would like” is the title of the initiative in program Saturday 11 May 2024 at 10.30 amin the Digerbato Complex (Mario Nuccio Institute – Marsala) which involves various local bodies and associations but above all children and families to create together new free and permanent services, accessible to all, such as an inclusive playground, strongly desired by the community itself, as testify to the students’ poems and drawings, which will be put on display during the event.
The initiative is organized by the Solidalia Consortium, leading body of the Micropolis project, – selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to combat child educational poverty, which promotes the creation of free microspaces for children – and is carried out thanks to the precious collaboration of the Mario Nuccio Institute, of the Maria SS Parish. of the Cava, of the ContradeAlCentro association, of Eduverso, of the Archè Onlus Association and of the social carpentry of Sappusi in collaboration with Ussm (Social Service Office for Minors).
Space and voice will be given to the children of the districts to bring out the dreams and desires of the community, also trying to materialize a need that has emerged within the Micropolis space, that of an inclusive playground, in the space in front of the school, capable not only of offer educational and fun opportunities to all children, but also play a crucial role in encouraging the acceptance of differences and creating an environment in which everyone can feel an integral part. In fact, as part of the project actions, the partner “Fondazione Comunitaria Agrigento Trapani” has planned a crowdfunding action, carried out in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo for the creation of the space.

The Micropolis project was selected by Con i Bambini as part of the Fund to combat child educational poverty. The Fund was born from an agreement between the banking foundations represented by Acri, the National Third Sector Forum and the Government. It supports interventions aimed at removing economic, social and cultural obstacles that prevent minors from fully enjoying educational processes.
