Puglia dominates the Italian Master Karate Championships – AcquavivaLive.it

Apulian karate shone in the Italian capital, bringing home a rich haul of medals. The 11th edition of the Italian Master karate championships took place at the Pala Pellicone on the Ostia beach, seeing the participation of numerous athletes over the age of 36, including former national teams, karate masters and champions from the very recent past.

The Apulian athletes demonstrated great skill and determination, conquering the national podium and bringing five Italian titles back to their region. Among the winners, Nicolò Romanazzi obtained gold in the Master A kumite -67 kg category, representing the ASD Finix of Castellana Grotte. Irene Nuzzo won gold in the Master B Kata category for the ASD Budo Kai of Lecce, while Simona Urso obtained gold in the Master B +61 kumite kg category for the ASD Metropolitan of Brindisi.

Elisabetta Tricase won gold in the Master C kumite -61 kg category for the ASD Bushido Karate of Monopoli, and Donato Lippolis obtained gold in the Master D kumite -67 category for the ASD Yamada of Noci. Other athletes from Puglia achieved silver and bronze in their respective categories, contributing to the overall success of the region.
