The recipe for success is simple: an appointment in the center of Modena with a focus on the recently redeveloped Canalchiaro, featuring the local food and wine excellences, a new program dedicated only to teenagers on one side, a historic table complete with actors on the other. And also robot waiters and sports cars which, in Modena, never hurt. These are the (winning) ingredients of the second edition of ‘Modena winefood experience’, promoted by Confesercenti and organized by Lambruscheria, scheduled this weekend in the streets of the centre. Two days of events, including the 21st edition of Lambruscolonga (Saturday from 6pm) which alone expects over 2 thousand people. But already from the morning at 9, with the opening of the stands of the organic fair Parva Naturalia, the program begins. From 4pm in Novi Sad, appointment with the sports cars of the ‘Modena street show’ while, from 7.30pm, off to the historic table in Corso Canalchiaro: an opportunity to relive the conviviality of the early 1900s with a menu created ad hoc by Modena chefs at the table. And, for the younger ones, the GenZ table with robot waiters, wines and non-alcoholic cocktails (which will also be the scene of the presentation of a special prize to Damiano Cassanelli, the young man from the Barozzi institute who distinguished himself for his battle for rights of the students).

Sunday again, from 9am, stands of Parva Naturalia and wine cellars and from 10am at Caffè Concerto the exhibition ‘A postcard from history’: from the 1900s, precisely. While during the two days, reproductions will be distributed which can be sent to friends and relatives directly from Piazza Grande: whoever receives them and tags the event on social media will be able to win prizes ranging from a bottle of Lambrusco to books on the history of Modena. Returning to Lambruscolonga, the heart of the two days, as per tradition it will cross the entire historic center with three different routes to choose from: Generation ‘non-alcoholic’ version to have fun safely and, for the little ones, legally, by walking, cycling or scootering”, explains Valentina Reggiani, Deus ex machina of the event together with Alessio Bardelli. The protagonist of the experience is a network of entrepreneurs “who make the construction of the route exciting”, as Giovanni Bertugli, director of the City and Tourism Promotion service of the Municipality of Modena, said. As for Confesercenti, promoter of the event, “we are here because we believe in explosive minds, in ideas that must be supported and helped to grow – the comment of the president Mauro Rossi – because we believe that bringing people where there are usually criminal situations – like at Novi Park – is one of the most effective ways to strengthen the territory.

Just as bringing the people of Modena to the clubs and restaurants in the center is one of the keys to promoting tourism, because those who come from outside think ‘that, if the people of Modena go there, is certainly a nice place'”.
