Third Category playoff final achieved by the Eagles Bisceglie after overtaking the Football Acquaviva.
The team coached by Claudio Lopopolo started off on the wrong foot, conceding the 0-1 goal from a penalty by Cicero which closed the first half of the game. In the second half the Biscegliesi reach the score Raffaello Suglia who makes the most of an assist from Pisani. The match becomes more and more entertaining at the “Di Liddo” pitch with Football Acquaviva putting the ball back in the 70th minute by making the most of a corner kick again with Cicero. The hosts did well not to let the match slip out of their hands by hitting a bomber for the second time Pisani who deflects a free kick into the net. Acquaviva remains with ten men and the Eagles take advantage ten minutes from the end by scoring the 3-2 goal with Giuseppe Suglia. In the final Football Acquaviva remains with nine men and for Bisceglie it becomes normal administration to complete the match.
Final therefore for the Eagles Bisceglie who Sunday 12 May will face the “Di Liddo”. New Carpediem which in the other semi-final beat Academy Giovinazzo with a clear 6-0. Kick-off scheduled for 10.30am.
