Guided tours 2024, between classic itineraries and great news

Savor the refined beauty of the oldest Treviso, let yourself be guided through the streets of the city, discover the stories and curiosities contained within the city walls in places linked to local characters and artists, learn about and have fun with Treviso masks.
These are just some of the guided tours that IAT Treviso (tourist office), with the provincial committee UNPLI Trevisowill propose for 2024.

The appointments for the next few months will begin Sunday 4 February with “From door to door, above and below the walls”: «The partnership with the Treviso Sotterranea Association has lasted for four years now– explains Cenini – and it grows more and more; for this reason we are happy to announce that, also for the first part of 2024, we will repeat the guided tours that introduce our Renaissance walls, both above and below. A tour that is always very successful.”
The proposals of IAT Treviso will continue, starting from Saturday 10 Februarywith the first tour “Treviso characters: a journey through extravagance, masks and art”: «An original proposal born because we like to always keep up – goes on Cenini – During the Carnival period, for example, we thought of itineraries that enhance the local Carnival tradition, talking about the Treviso masks – which are little known – the slightly strange characters of the past, as well as those Treviso artists who have long made Treviso is the wonderful city that it is.”
There are therefore many proposals planned not only for tourists, but also for those citizens who wish to “rediscover” the city and its spaces, enhancing its artistic, naturalistic and cultural capital. A heritage of which the people of Treviso are particularly proud: «The requests we receive are always numerous – he concludes Ilenia Cenini– this shows how much desire there is for beauty and culture. Our task is precisely this: to propose a different point of view each time, offering an unusual and original look at Treviso. A city whose beauty is always new and surprising.”

“FROM DOOR TO DOOR, ABOVE AND UNDER THE WALLS”
The tours “From door to door, above and below the walls” are the result of the collaboration ofIAT office Treviso center (UNPLI Treviso) and theTreviso underground association. The first part of the route involves getting to know the stretch of walls from Porta Santi Quaranta to Porta San Tomaso, thanks to a tourist guide from the Marca Guide Association. From there the underground Treviso operators continue the route, discovering the underground part of the fortifications. Tours take place every first Sunday of the month.
The visits are scheduled until May as work on the city walls will begin in June, making the underground area no longer accessible.

“CHARACTERS FROM TREVIGIA: A JOURNEY BETWEEN EXTRAVAGANCE, MASKS AND ART”
New theme for the Carnival period, during which extravagance is at home. Unpli Treviso and the Treviso IAT offices once again add a piece of value to the events in the city, and in this case to the “Treviso Carnival”, with a series of guided tours that retrace the places linked to slightly bizarre city characters. We will also talk about the little-known local masks and the most famous Treviso artists of both the present and the past.
