Serie C Playoff Group C, Audace Cerignola-Giugliano 1-1: Ofantini qualified

Audace Cerignola’s adventure in the playoffs begins with a draw. Raffaele’s team benefits from the advantage guaranteed by the best placement in the regular season to pass the first round of the preliminary phase. The protagonist, once again, was Filippo D’Andrea, the yellow and blue’s top scorer who broke the deadlock in the 27th minute of the first half with a precise header assisted by Tascone. The guests returned to the game in the 40th minute thanks to Salvemini and attempted a coup in the second half, coming very close to doubling their lead in the final minutes when Visentin avoided the 1-2 draw with a providential save on the line.

On Saturday we return to the field with the second round, when Audace will visit Casertana – the team with the worst placing in the regular season being among the qualifiers – who finished fourth in the championship.

As for the other playoff matches, a decisive field factor in almost all matches. The only surprise came from Rimini in the Group B playoff, which stormed the Gubbio pitch and won 1-0.

In group A successes for Atalanta U23 at home against Trento (3-1), for Giana Erminio against Pro Vercelli (3-0) and for Legnago Salus against Lumezzane (1-0).

In group B, in addition to Rimini, Juventus Next Gen (2-0 against Arezzo) and Pescara (2-2 against Pontedera) pass.

In group C, a 0-0 draw against Taranto is enough to eliminate Latina. Finally, Picerno wins at home against Crotone. The Lucanians will visit the Ionian team in the next round.
