With reference to the statements of the FdI group leader in the City Council, councilor Antonello Costanzo, Mayor Franz Caruso’s delegate for taxes, specifies the following
“Obviously the Mayor will give a written response to the question presented by the FdI group leader, as usual. In the meantime, for the benefit of public opinion, it is appropriate to remember that citizens/users have the offices of Municipia S. p. at their disposal. A. to whom the mayor, Franz Caruso, asked and obtained an increase in the hours the branches were open to the public.
At the same time, all the people of Cosenza are reassured, also due to a more incisive and personal control of the Mayor Franz Caruso, with respect to the quality of the service offered by Municipia, as amply demonstrated through private and public reminders in which the First Citizen invited the leaders to meet the needs of citizens, especially the elderly and those who, not having IT support, have difficulty making reservations to speak with the company’s employees. If this does not happen, unlike what others have done in the past, Franz Caruso will be able to act accordingly.
Having said this, it is completely clear that the question posed by the FDI group leader is related to the very well-known problem linked to the lack of human resources in the Municipality, which we are tackling successfully, albeit without a magic wand. And, indeed, in due compliance with current legislation, having found empty offices and coffers, they were sought and achieved, in just two and a half years, in the face of the institution’s collapse and the further deficit that we had to shoulder, the right economic/financial solutions to proceed with replenishing the workforce. And now, having received the green light from Cosfel, after 25 years, Palazzo dei Bruzi will start hiring again following public tenders.
We have faced and are bringing to a solution, in a nutshell, and in the best possible way, because we will give work opportunities to many unemployed and/or unemployed people, yet another emergency coming from the unfortunate decade in which Spadafora himself administered the city and its center-right allies. This was due to intellectual honesty, before political honesty, for the benefit of our fellow citizens.”
