The former coach and footballer of Foggia, Pasquale Padalinospoke during the “A Tutta C” program on TMW Radio to comment on the upcoming Serie C playoffs and the season of some of his former teams.
On the playoffs and on Foggia?
“As always, slightly late, even if in this case only by a few days. After last year’s season, more was expected of Foggia, regardless of how it ended. This year we expected a championship in which promotion could be achieved. The owners, however, had declared that they should have a decent championship, which was not the case. The season was saved a little thanks to the January transfer window. I don’t think the placement satisfied the club.”
On Nocerina?
“Nocerina has had an excellent championship, at least since the advent of Nappi. It is a square that deserves another category. In football, however, it can happen that, even if you plan well and in the right way, you reach an objective.”
Juve Stabia?
“Nobody would have bet anything. Not because they are not capable but because other companies were present who had spent much more. Juve Stabia had to be at its best in the playoffs. Congratulations must be made to the club, the sporting director, the coach and all the staff. You don’t win by chance. All the components must go in the same direction.”
He coached throughout Italy. Where do you want to start again: north, center or south?
“It would be wonderful to be able to choose. It is a possibility that, however, I cannot afford. It all depends on who wants to talk to me and the project presented to me. I’m not interested in the region.”
Playoff favorite? The possible surprise?
“I would be repetitive because the simplest names to name would always be the same. I would like it to be a spectacular playoff because organized in this way they only serve that purpose and to make them more exciting. I wouldn’t neglect Casertana.”
