“The near-tragedy at the “Barsanti e Matteucci” scientific high school in Viareggio, where a beam gave way, causing a portion of the roof to fall, must lead to a prompt reflection on the safety of school buildings in the province of Lucca”. This was declared by Susanna Campione, senator of the Brothers of Italy elected in Tuscany. “It is also alarming – continues the FdI senator – if what the agencies report is true, the fact that the technicians declare themselves incredulous about the collapse. I therefore hope that the technical checks will lead to ascertaining the causes of the collapse and, once identified, responsibility for any omissions and responsibilities will be ascertained.
I also hope that the President of the Province Luca Menesini, who is currently campaigning for the Democratic Party in the elections for his municipality, will find the time between one electoral advert and another to identify the urgent and necessary solutions teachers and students of the ‘Barsanti and Matteucci’ high school finish the school year in regular conditions and without further alarming unforeseen events”.
