As part of the intensification of the territorial control services prepared by the police commissioner of the province of Ragusa Vincenzo Trombadore and implemented by the manager of the Modica police station through targeted services – also with the help of the specialized departments made available by the public security department, in recent days, the agents of the Modica police station have reported a 23 year old man from Modica for the burglary perpetrated in the night between last Friday and Saturday against a tobacco bar located in Modica Alta.
Following a report received by the operations room regarding a completed theft, the officers of a police station squad immediately went to the targeted tobacco bar, located in the Modica Alta area; the agents found that a theft of tobacco and state monopolies worth a few thousand euros had taken place. From examining the videos recorded by the surveillance cameras, the police immediately recognized one of the two subjects believed to be the perpetrators of the theft, although he was partially misrepresented.
Once the initial investigations had been carried out, after a few hours, the police tracked down the young man in question in the Modica Alta area who was still wearing, in part, the clothes he had on at the time the crime was committed. The young man was identified and reported at liberty for aggravated theft in competition; Investigations are still underway to identify the second subject.
