A minor threatens suicide in Cisterna di Latina: salvation comes from England

A minor of Cistern of Latina had expressed suicidal intentions. Salvation for her came from England.

On the morning of May 5th, the English police contacted the Sservice for the Cooperationone International Police of the Ministry of the Interior of Rome following the report received from a young person resident in England. The young man reportedly told the police that he was in frequent telephone contact with a girl living in Cisterna di Latina. The girl apparently revealed suicidal intentions in the conversations.

This is how the English police contacted Italy to manage the emergency. The International Cooperation Service sent the report to the Carabinieri of the Latina Cisterna Station to try to identify the minor.

Despite the little information received regarding the identity and exact location of the minor’s home, the Carabinieri still managed to track her down. They found her in the house where she lives with her grandparents and her mother.

While waiting for the intervention of Social Services personnel, the girl was accompanied accompanied at the offices of the Carabinieri Station Command. Here a soldier from the same station, a woman, who is currently attending the Cadet Marshals course at the Velletri School, managed to empathize with her girlfriend. The soldier, free from duty at the time, created the climate of trust that allowed the girl to find the courage to confide. She thus admitted her moment of fragility and loneliness.

The subsequent intervention of the EPstaff of the Social Emergency Department of the Social and Health District made it possible to secure the minor, who was taken into care by the competent Social Services of the Municipality of Cisterna di Latina. The girl will therefore be followed for a course of psychological support.
