Numerous citizens who participated from Friday 4 May to the late afternoon of Saturday 5 May – on the Lungomare Falcomatà in Reggio Calabria – to the second edition of Health Prevention Days. Event promoted, after last year’s success, by Trisalus Medical, a leading company operating in the health and wellness sector directed by Santo Ielo and coordinated with tireless tenacity by the lawyer. Silvana Paratore, legal expert in social policies and UNMS commissioner of Reggio Calabria. The two municipalities of Reggio Calabria and Villa San Giovanni will sponsor the impressive event.
The personalities present
Present in the square were the Mayor of Reggio Calabria Avv. Giuseppe Falcomatà, the deputy mayor Paolo Brunetti and the group leader of Cities in motion of the Municipality of Villa San Giovanni with responsibility for prevention Dr. Vincenzo Calabrò New this year is participation in the eventUNMS, National Union of Disabled Persons for Service, which is a non-profit organization present throughout the national territory which protects all those employed by the State and local territorial and institutional bodies who have suffered mutilations and infirmities in service or due to military and civil service. In the UNMS stand, information material on the pre-eminent institutional purpose pursued by the Union, various gadgets and the Il Corriere dell’Unione newspaper containing all the news on the countless activities carried out over the years were distributed.
The numbers achieved
Satisfaction was expressed with the final report of the two days of health checks. There were 120 magnetotherapy consultations and UTS vertebral treatments as a useful stretching therapy to relieve back pain and improve posture and 120 UTS Pressotherapy treatments to relieve lymphatic drainage carried out by the Trisalus medical system staff. 70 postural visits performed by Dr. Enzo Calabrò; 60 Amplifon consultancies; 130 onco-aesthetic medicine and psychophysical wellbeing consultations were carried out by Dr Lidia Papisca’s Grace Association. 70 lung cancer prevention screenings performed by Dr. D’Agostino and Prof. Casablanca of the UOC thoracic surgery AO Papardo. 40 colorectal cancer screenings performed by Dr.’s clinical analysis center. Calabrian; 35 visits were carried out by Dr Campolo’s Pedagogical Equilibrium centre; 50 physiotherapy visits carried out by Dr. Maria Teresa Bozzaotra 20 consultations for adults and infants carried out by Dr. Domenico Vazzana from the Move center, energy in motion. 20 blood sugar measurements were carried out by Pellicano pharmacy staff; 20 nutritional and dietary consultations performed by Dr. Capano Simona.
Attention was attracted by the demonstrations of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation maneuvers performed by the national center for training personnel in emergencies of the Italian Red Cross committee of Reggio Calabria of the president Dr. Dattola. Several people went to the Admo stand and to the Avis Salute camper. Heartfelt thanks were expressed by Santo Ielo to Dr. Calipari, Municipal Pres. Avis Reggio Calabria, to the vice-president Vicario Orazio Nisticò and to the Avis operator Ienuso Lorenzo. The event attracted local and national media attention.
