Excellent start to the season for the Sporting Tennis Club 2.0 in the B2 men’s championship. After the success on their debut in San Benedetto del Tronto, in fact, the Bisceglie team conceded an encore in their debut on the courts of the Via del Carro club at the expense of the difficult Tennis Club Napoli, which they defeated with a dry 5-1 .
In the singles matches, successes were recorded by Matias Fernandez (6/4, 6/3 over Pietro Manola), Valentin Florez (6/2, 6/7, 6/4 over Emanuele Bastia) and Manolo Baldini from Bisceglia (2 /6, 7/5, 6/3 over Lorenzo Peluso), while Francisco Bahamonde was beaten 6/2, 6/4 by Nargi Echeverria Madurga. The decisive point for the victory for the boys led by Kikko Sasso arose thanks to the double Florez – Bahamonde, who got rid of Bastia – Peluso in two sets (6/2, 6/3), while Baldini and Fernandez completed the match positively works by imposing himself in the match against Etcheverria Madurga and Manola (3/6, 6/2, 10/6).
In the standings Bisceglie therefore sails with full points (6) arm in arm with the Barletta coach, with the other five teams in group 8 further behind.
On the third day, scheduled for May 19th, Florez and his teammates will observe their rest period to return to the court on Sunday 26th for the new home challenge in front of the “Viola Tennis & Sports” of Lamezia Terme.
