Confcooperative of Agrigento, the “Cat 2024” technical assistance center desk is active

Please note that the “CAT 2024” Technical Assistance Centers desk is active at the territorial headquarters of Agrigento which, according to what is described in art. 68 of LR 4/2003 and subsequent amendments, promote and give life to specific targeted interventions that are able to support the development of Sicilian cooperation free of charge, encouraging the growth of existing realities.
The CATs are promoted by Confcooperative Sicilia and intend to pursue the following objectives:
• provide user cooperatives with all the necessary responses in terms of services, specific assistance, planning, aggregation, collaboration with important national cooperative structures;
• provide services (research, analysis, development of the project idea) to support the creation of new cooperatives which
aims to limit the phenomenon of the creation of companies without a valid business plan;
• mitigate the risks of the health and energy crisis, making production actions sustainable.
The Agrigento territorial desk will have the aim of acting in complete support of user cooperatives by offering them a series of services: including specialist business consultancy aimed at aggregation,
internationalization and innovation or financial consultancy for capitalisation, access to cooperative credit.
Another field of intervention certainly concerns the orientation of cooperatives towards the numerous sources of financing available to start-ups and already established businesses.
An interesting area is that relating to the single SEZ of the South in which the incentives in favor of the world of cooperation are examined.
The CAT will organize a set of services dedicated to the productive sectors of cooperation
regionally focused on:
• orientation and assistance in participating in programs and projects
sectoral funds drawn from public funds;
• consultancy on sector regulations and obligations;
• the planning of sector training actions;
• technical assistance for actions aimed at sector associations;
• technical assistance for sector promotion and valorisation actions;
• Planning and assistance related to access to incentives (structural funds, program contracts, network contracts, regional funding, etc.).
The sectors particularly in need of assistance are agri-food, cultural and environmental heritage, active labor policies, socio-health and educational services, tourism and culture.
An important focus must be made on the topic of management of assets confiscated from the mafias and assigned to third sector cooperatives, on which Confcooperative has developed a certain specific expertise.
The desk will be operational on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 09.30 to 13.30 and on Tuesday from 15.00 to 18.00 at the Confcooperative Agrigento headquarters located in Via Leonardo Sciascia, 36 – Agrigento.
