The “3 October square” was inaugurated on 14 December 2016 in memory of all the victims of migration. At 11 am the meeting, in the main hall of the same Institute, with the presence of Tareke Brahne, an Eritrean refugee and president of the 3 October Committee, an association founded in the aftermath of the shipwreck in which 368 migrants lost their lives off the coast of Lampedusa.
The “Educate without borders” laboratory – as recalled in the note – aimed to discuss with students, through the intervention of some experts, the numbers, economic data, motivations and laws relating to the current reality of the global migration phenomenon , European and Italian, with the aim of contributing to a culture of welcome and solidarity, starting from the protection of human rights, promoting a society in which ethnic, linguistic and religious diversity is considered an asset and not an obstacle for the our future.Source: Agensir
