Bringing Italian culture to the streets of the world: the international tour of the Teatro Due Mondi in Faenza begins

It will start in Germany on May 11th and the international tour of the Teatro Due Mondi in Faenza will end there, four months later. In between many shows in Poland, one in Hungary and some in Italy. The recent Rossini flambé and Candido will be on stage, but also the historic Fiesta. And Come cracks in walls, Carosello and The new adventures of the Bremen Musicians: a vast and diversified repertoire to spread Italian culture and art in Europe, but also an ethical message on the themes of hospitality, mutual respect and civility .

To better reach different audiences, including and above all those not accustomed to theatre, the tour will visit large centers but also small cities, also thanks to the support of some Italian Cultural Institutes in Poland and Germany.

“After many years around the world – says director Alberto Grilli – we have verified that masks, which we use in almost all street performances, are an element of curiosity, wonder and interest in all cultures, as is singing. The music and the Italian language, the sounds that belong to our culture fascinate and bring together adults and children, in every corner of the planet”.

“We feel that some strong themes that concern society, which we talk about in shows such as The Nine Commandments and Like Cracks in Walls, manage to involve the public beyond cultural differences – add the actors of the group -. It is clear that issues such as exclusion or the power of money are universal.”
