6h of Spa, Ferrari seeks redemption: “High expectations”

6 HOURS OF SPA The world endurance championship is preparing to hold one of its traditional races in addition to the classic 24 hours of Le Mans: the 6 hours of Spa. The race in the Ardennes will start this Saturday at 1pm and will, as always, be the last opportunity to refine the preparation in view of the French classic in mid-June. The high speeds of the Belgian track and the changing weather conditions in Flanders will make everything unpredictable.

GOOD LUCKI have wonderful memories of the race held in Belgium last year – explained Antonio Giovinazzi – when we demonstrated the value of our team and the potential of our crew. The weather, as per tradition, made the race even more complex, and James made an extraordinary last lap which allowed us, for the first time in the season, to get on the podium”.

COLETTA’S WORDS The head of the endurance racing department, Antonello Coletta, is also optimistic: ”We return to racing at Spa on one of the most historic tracks in the World Championship where last year, on the occasion of the third world championship round, we achieved a podium with the 499P number 51 which would later be the protagonist of the success at Le Mans. After the epilogue to the 6 Hours of Imola which saw us finish outside the overall podium, there is a great desire for redemption on the part of the whole team. We therefore present ourselves at Spa with the ambition of being able to create a good weekend where it will be important to do everything perfectly, without making mistakes. In the twenty days that passed between the Italian and Belgian rounds we worked tirelessly and with humility to confirm our potential”.
