We publish what we read on the high school page:

From 13 to 20 April the students who participated in the Erasmus+ WATER project of the “Adria-Ballatore” high school visited the city of San Sebastián, Basque Country, to continue to delve deeper into the theme of the sea, this time in the specific Spanish territorial context. The students, welcomed by the families of the classmates they had already met in March in Sicily, were received by the Mayor in the city council hall and had the opportunity to get to know the elegant Basque city with its beautiful Playa de la Concha, the sculpture of famous sculptor Chillida “El peine del viento”, the Palacio de Congresos Kursaal and the Palacio Miramar.

The group visited the town of Guernica, sadly famous for the bombing of 1937, the port of Bermeo, where the same net repair technique as in Mazara del Vallo is used and with the most important commercial fishing fleet of the Basque Community and the hermitage of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Furthermore, the boys went on a canoe excursion in the famous city playa, crossed vineyards and traveled along the coast from Zarautz to Getaria, covering 10 km of the Camino de Santiago, and finally they also learned typical Basque games and dances. Also this week was characterized by the commitment and enthusiasm of our students who always demonstrate great ability and passion.
