Vaccari news – Meetings/1 Matera, Turin, Novegro, Borgo Faiti and Pontedera

The collecting week is characterized by exhibitions and commercial initiatives, all with free participation

In Matera until May 10th

Exhibitions and commercial initiatives also for these days. There are five events that can be reported thanks to the collaboration of the respective organizers. None provide participation fees.

We start from Matera where, until May 10, the University is hosting the exhibition “Stamps tell the face of women”, a series of traveling panels with already different declinations behind them. The current headquarters is the “Acquario” space in Via Lanera 20, open from 9am to 7pm. Behind it are two Triestines, the former director of the Central European Postal and Telegraph Museum, Chiara Simon, and the manager of the Historical Archive of Modiano, Simonetta Freschi.

Then there’s Turin: on the 9th (inauguration at 9) the philately space in via Alfieri 10 will host, until the 24th, the exhibition dedicated to the Carabinieri “130 Years of naming the «Chiaffredo Bergia» barracks”. Created by the National Association of Italian Cancellation Collectors, it can be discovered from Monday to Friday between 8.20am and 1.35pm.

On the 10th and 11th in Segrate (Milan), in pavilion D of the Novegro exhibition park, in via Novegro snc, “Eurofil Milano” will take place, organized by Ivo Fossati. On the operators’ tables, philately, numismatics, stationery and various collectibles. The office will be reachable on Friday from 9.30am to 6pm and on Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.

Again from the 10th, but until the 12th, the Piana delle Orme Museum, in via Migliara 43.5 in Borgo Faiti (it is a hamlet of Latina), thanks to the “Tres tabernae” philatelic club, will realize “Latinphil 2024”. Conceived by the Federation of Italian philatelic societies, it will propose the national exhibition (sample and competition sections) and qualifications relating to the open, traditional and postal history classes (for both, modern and contemporary) to which today’s philately must be added. Alongside the paintings, there will be the possibility of finding objects for your own collections. The office will be open on Friday between 3pm and 7pm, Saturday from 9am to 7pm, Sunday from 9am to 1pm.

Only one day, however, for Pontedera (Pisa). On Saturday 11th, at the Centrum sete sóis sete luas in viale Piaggio 82, the Valdera collectors group will organize “Valderaphil 2024”, a commercial conference with a combined historical-postal exhibition, commemorating the one hundred and eighty years of the Leopolda railway. It will be reachable from 9am to 6.30pm (continues).

There are four other initiatives worth mentioning, underway in Turin, Novegro (Segrate, Milan), Borgo Faiti (fraction of Latina) and Pontedera (Pisa)
