In Ercolano, a joint operation by the Carabinieri of the local Tenenza, the Labor Inspectorate of Naples and the Forestry Unit brought to light serious irregularities in the sector of buying and selling used clothing. During the inspection, aimed at combating undeclared work and verifying safety regulations in the workplace, three entrepreneurs, owners of as many companies operating in this sector, were reported.
The three entrepreneurs were sanctioned with criminal and administrative fines for a total of 74,000 euros. Furthermore, for two of the companies involved, the suspension of business activity was ordered, with the seizure of the premises and equipment used. These measures were adopted following the discovery of workers employed illegally and numerous violations relating to training and safety at work.
These interventions underline the commitment of law enforcement and relevant bodies in ensuring compliance with labor regulations and the protection of workers’ rights, highlighting the need for continuous monitoring of commercial activities to prevent abuses and irregularities.
