TRENT. Precautionary measures against 38 suspects and seizures of over 10 million euros. It is the outcome of an operation conducted by the financiers of the Provincial Command of Trento who carried out an order from the investigating judge of the Court of Trento at the request of the local DDA. There are 27 people in prison and 11 under mandatory residence. The precautionary measures, carried out in the provinces of Trento, Turin, Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Bolzano, Verona, Pavia, Cremona and Livorno, were issued at the end of a detailed and complex investigation activity, started in December 2021 and conducted from the Gico of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Guardia di Finanza of Trento.
Overall, the investigation involves 38 people, of which 36 are foreign nationals (Albanians, Tunisians, Moroccans and Portuguese), held in various capacities responsible for having participated or collaborated within two complex criminal associations which, interconnected among them, they were involved in the trafficking of narcotic substances (cocaine, hashish, marijuana and heroin), coming from other Italian regions and destined almost entirely for Trentino.
The investigations originate from previous judicial police investigations and constant monitoring of the area, following which possible illicit conduct emerged linked to the continuity of relationships between some previous suspects. Over 49 kilos of hashish, 20 of cocaine, over 5 of heroin, approximately 12 kilos of cutting substances, a firearm, cash for over 111,000 euros and various materials for drug packaging were seized. From one kilo of cocaine three were obtained by cutting it, for a profit estimated at over 10 million euros.
