Double attack today in Varese, where a 41-year-old stabbed his ex-partner and killed her father. It happened just before 1pm in via Ciro Menotti. The 71-year-old man, who suffered injuries to his face and hand, suffered cardiac arrest and was taken to hospital in intensive care, where he died shortly after. Her 37-year-old daughter suffered facial injuries and is still in the operating room. At the moment the prognosis remains very confidential.
A family member of the victims who arrived at the scene after the attack was rescued, but did not suffer trauma or injuries. Areu underlines that ‘at the moment there is no evidence of the use of acid’. The attacker, 41 years old, was arrested.
According to Varese News, the violent, double attack would have arisen from a complicated separation, which would have already come to the attention of the police in recent weeks. The man – the newspaper reports – Marco Manfrinati, 41, would have joined the woman, Lavinia Limido, 37, in her father’s study, in the Casbeno area: here the 41-year-old would have tried to hit her partner first; her seventy-year-old father, Fabio Limido, was also injured in an attempt to defend her.
