The Carabinieri of the Operational Intervention Company of the 12th Carabinieri Regiment “Sicilia”, together with soldiers of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri Territorial Department of Gela, during a prevention service aimed at combating crimes relating to narcotics, drew on arrest in flagrante delicto illicit possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of traffickinga 19 year old from Gelato.
In particular, the Carabinieri, during a personal search, found, hidden inside the underwear, two cellophane wrappers containing a total of 35 grams of cocaine.
The narcotic substance was seized while the arrested person was subjected to house arrest at his home on the orders of the Judicial Authority.
The Court of Gela, upon request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office, validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the Prosecutor’s Office.
