There are around thirty people who have been mouthed by Trentino postal police officers in the past year. The data was provided on the occasion of the National day against pedophilia and child pornography which was celebrated yesterday, May 5th.
THE NUMBERS
In Italy, 28,355 sites were analyzed overall by Postal specialists in 2023, of which almost 2800 blacklisted of sites that contain representations of sexual exploitation of minors.
Over 1100 people identified and reported for having downloaded, shared and exchanged sexual abuse photos and videos to the detriment of minors. Sexual extortion is on the rise, and the phenomenon of online solicitation is on the rise However, it mainly concerns the 10-13 age group.
In the context of province of Trentothe Cyber Security Operations Center has identified and 19 people were reported for having downloaded, shared and exchanged photos and videos of sexual abuse against minors, while for crimes relating to the solicitation of minors, the abuse of minors and the instigation of minor prostitution, the people identified and reported there were ten.
The Operations Center forat Cybernetic Security “Trentino – Alto Adige” of Trento was particularly involved in awareness and information activities on the issues of cyberbullying and the conscious use of the network carried out in favor of the provincial school community and which resulted in 27 training interventions, conducted in person and online, during which approximately 5,800 students, parents, teachers and school workers.
